I worked for Southend Council for years and saw some seriously unpleasant practices - by councillors and senior management. SBC's cash and staff were definately for their personal gain, not the community's. I saw first hand (and was indeed involved with) some of the appauling demands the councillors made in their own interest - and every one of them was met. Nasty, nasty stuff. Very glad to see this site up and running. I worked for Southend Council for years and saw some seriously unpleasant practices – by councillors and senior management.
